The first mountain and lake circling festival of Lugu Lake kicked off at Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture on Tuesday. Mountain and lake circling is an important folk custom of the Mosuo people living near Lugu Lake. Starting this year, Liangshan Prefecture has officially designated the 25th day of the seventh lunar month as the mountain and lake circling festival, making it a local statutory holiday. Residents of Yanyuan and Muli counties can enjoy a one-day exclusive holiday.
