Hunan –
A new intangible cultural heritage park in Huaihua, central China’s Hunan Province, transforms centuries-old traditions into modern experiences.
The innovative facility uses cutting-edge technology to preserve and showcase local intangible cultural heritage. Its digital zone offers 42 interactive programs featuring 3D modeling, motion capture, virtual reality and augmented reality demonstrations of traditional practices.
At the park’s heritage workshop, visitors can participate in hands-on activities including indigo dyeing, bamboo weaving and pottery rather than simply observing artisans at work.
The park will be featured during the fifth Hunan Tourism Development Conference, running Sept. 16-18 in Huaihua.
